Together with Tamiya, Kyosho is the RC manufacturer that really sparked the RC buggy boom in the eighties, and is my absolute favorite and passion! My favorite Kyosho buggies are those designed by the legendary Akira Kogawa, probably the most influental RC designer of the eighties. In my opinion Akira-san is responsible for the coolest buggy designs, ever. Most of the classic Kyosho buggies, from the Scorpion to the Mids, were designed by him. Luckily Kyosho have re-hired Akira Kogawa to design the "Legendary Series", re-releases of some of their classic buggies. Unlike Tamiya, that still had most of the moulds needed to re-release their classics, Kyosho destroyed and got rid of their old moulds years ago, so their re-releases have to be re-designed from scratch. It has resulted in re-releases that while updated with more modern drivelines and materials, still keeps the vintage look and style, and even if parts have been updated to newer standards, most of the new parts will still fit the old buggies.

In the 80's Kyosho buggies were also sold under the Cox brand in the US and Graupner branded (and some by Robbe) in Germany and a few other European countries.

Here are my Kyosho models (some of the pages are not populated, yet):
